Fayetteville, NC – (September 13, 2008) The Lady Bears of Shaw University made their way to Fayetteville, NC to play in the annual CIAA Volleyball Roundup on September 13th. In a match against Bowie State, the Lady Bears lost in their hard fough efforts by scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-17.
Marquita Wilson and Jade Bibb led the Lady Bears with seven and six kills respectively. Nikita Grant put in four and added seven diggs in their hard fought efforts. Alci Williams-Chase was a formidable opponent cfor the Lady Bulldogs contributing nine kills as Tamira Conner Rogers posted eight. The Lady Bears will play Virginia State University on September 16th at 6:00 p.m. in Petersburg, VA.
