Lady Bears Claim Victory over Lincoln University

Raleigh, NC – (September 20, 2008) The Lady Bears Volleyball team of Shaw University were successful over their opponent from Lincoln University 3-1 in C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium on the campus of Shaw University at 10:00 a.m. 22-25, 25-12, 25-9, 25-12. Monica Grimmage (FR/6’0/Georgetown, SC) had sixteen kills and Nikita Grant (SO/5’5/Parktown, NC)had eight for the Lady Bears. Grant also contributed 12 digs with Grimmage contributing nine and Jade Bibb (FR/5’7/Detroit, MI) adding eight. Nia Bailey (FR/5’4/Shaker Heights, OH) posted 22 assists and five service aces. The Lady Bears now 1-8 will play Chowan University on September 23rd at 6:00 p.m. in C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.
