What Occured During the 2008 Election

On November 4th, 2008 there was a lot of people who already voted early. Voters in other states, such as New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania woke up early at 6am to go vote at the polls. Of course during the time of election on the 4th of November many people voted for Barack Obama.Also on 106 and Park Roxie and Terrance, (host of the show) mentioned a lot of first time voters who never voted before ,and were very excited. One young voter did not know what he was doing at the voting poll, but just filled out democratic party which was Barack Obama and Joe Biden.Also at the Chicago Headquarters there were and enormous amount of people lining up at the poles, at the Obama headquarters. The poles in some states closed at 6pm and some at 7pm.Rappers like Young Jeezy, LL Cool J and Q-Tip were interviewed about the 2008 Election. Young Jeezy was interviewed at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.Finally, at 12 am it was announced that Senator Barack Obama was declared the first and 44th African-American president of the United States of America.
