With the fall semester well under way, campus regaining normalcy after the treacherous storms, and the students already knee deep in assignments and homework, extra-curricular activities haven’t skipped a beat in making sure that this school year is the same or even better as any other. The widely celebrated homecoming week is here, and many events and activities are currently taking place. The buzz and excitement from students and alumni is at an all time high. This year is especially unique to Shaw’s family and friends because Shaw University is still standing after all we have endured in the last few months; hence the homecoming mantra “Back Like We Never Left”.
All the activities that will take place during the week of homecoming are finalized and set in stone and can be accessed by alumni, the student body, and Shaw family and friends on the schools website. The Bear Facts staff have some inside scoop on the plans of some scheduled events including just to name a few the Hip-Hop Summit / Panel Discussion presented and sponsored by the Mass Communication Department, Block Party/Fashion Exhibition of the three on campus collegiate modeling troupes , The Homecoming Step-Off, and The Grand Finale Live Performances featuring recording artist Roscoe Dash, and Meek Mills. We have sneaked in to some of the practices executive meetings and have witnessed all of the hard work, creativity, and brain storming it takes to prepare for these events. We look forward to bringing you all the fun as it happens!
