Things are starting to look up as the Talbert O. Shaw Men’s Dorm is going through a process of cleaning. Fans, and dehumidifiers are placed on all three floors of the men’s dorm. Carpets in student’s rooms and in the hallways are soaked, these dehumidifiers will help drain and dry the carpets and floors. Senior Joseph Rapley is irate to the fact that his possessions are ruined, “I feel like a Katrina victim, all my article of clothing are messed up and ruined”. Students today have been able to get in their rooms to grab whatever they may need for the next couple of days. “Grab whatever you will need for the next seven days,” said TOS Men’s Residence Director Ron Bishop. These next couple of day’s workers will be in the dorms cleaning. Most of the students have been placed in the Talbert O. Shaw Women’s Dorm on the fifth floor as of right now in which some are roomed with two to four people in one room, “right now there’s three of us in one room with two beds, it’s really too crowded for me in my opinion and plus the other guy has to sleep on the floor,” said senior Daniel Kelly. Right now administration is working hard to getting everything back to normal and in order but it will take time and keep us informed.
