Shaw University Lady Bears Lose to VSU 3-0

Ettrick, VA – (September 16, 2008) The Lady Bears of Shaw University suffered a tough volleyball loss to Virginia State University 22-25, 12-25 and 14-25. Monica Grimmage and Nikita Grant contributed 13 kills of 18 made by the team; Grimmage with seven and Grant with six respectively. Jade Bibb had seven digs and teammates Nia Bailey, Grant and Grimmage all contributed four in the valiant effort against VSU. Bailey had 14 assists. The Lady Bears will play at home in C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium on September 18th @ 6:00 p.m. against Fayetteville State University.
