The lights were dimmed, fingers were snapped, silence was granted, and spoken words filled the air in the Student Union as Shaw University’s Homecoming first annual Pillow and Poem Midnight Poetry Jam.
During the Monday night event, guest poet Trina-Thought expressed herself as well reminded students the risk of the AIDS virus and the power held in a vote.
