What is Uloop?
Uloop is a student powered News and Classifieds marketplace for colleges and universities where college students buy, sell, promote and trade – Textbooks, Housing, Roommates, Jobs, Tickets, Apartments, and more!
What do I need to join Uloop?
It's easy! Sign up with your .edu email, check your email for a confirmation email, and then start listing!
If you are not a student or do not have a .edu e-mail address, you can register with Uloop by creating a Job listing (jobs.uloop.com) or Housing listing (rent.uloop.com) or simply by replying to any listing you are interested in on Uloop! The reply by e-mail button will simultaneously send your reply e-mail and register you with Uloop. You will also receive a confirmation email in your inbox.
Is there a cost?
Uloop is free to all students, staff and faculty with a .edu email address. Employers can pay to post Jobs, and Housing Providers can pay to post Housing available to students.
How do I post a Job listing if I'm an Employer?
Employers can pay to post on Uloop in the Jobs category. Just go to jobs.uloop.com to select a local or nationwide post and fill out the form to post a job listing.
How do I post a Housing listing if I'm a Housing Provider?
Management Companies and Housing Providers can pay to post housing listings on Uloop in the Housing category. Visit rent.uloop.com to post your rental/sublet to all schools within a 25 mile radius of your property.
How many college campuses is Uloop on?
Uloop provides college news and classifieds to over 1500 colleges and universities.
Haven't received a confirmation e-mail for your account?
If you cannot find your confirmation e-mail to verify your new Uloop account, you can ask for it to be re-sent using the confirmation page that appeared after registering. You may need to check your spam and trash folder as well as your inbox for your confirmation e-mail. If you haven’t received your confirmation email within 24 hours of registering, you can also request the link at uloopcustomerservice@gmail.com.
I need to reset my password.
If you cannot login because you forgot your password, you can request for it to be sent to you by clicking on the Forgot Password link on the login page (www.uloop.com/login.php). You can reset your password once you are logged in by clicking on your name in the top right corner of your account home page.
How do I post a listing?
If you are a student, you can post a listing by first creating a Uloop account. Once you have registered with your .edu e-mail address, you can login and click “Post a Listing” in the top right corner of the page. Posting is free for students!
If you are not a student, you can post either a job or a housing listing at http://jobs.uloop.com and http://rent.uloop.com. Pricing for listing options are included on the posting pages, and the site will take you through the listing process step by step. You do not need to be logged into your Uloop account in order to create a job or housing listing.
How do I edit/view my listing?
Once you have posted a listing on Uloop, you can manage, view, and edit your listing by logging into your Uloop account (once it has been confirmed) at www.uloop.com/login.php. After you have logged in, you can click My Listings to view your listings. By clicking on your listing title, you can view and edit it at your convenience.
How does replying by email work? Where can I look for replies to my listing?
If you are interested in contacting someone who posted a listing, you can do so by using the “Reply by Email” button on each listing page. You can simply fill out the contact information and click Send. Emails are sent directly to the personal email account of the person who posted the listing. Because each individual has different security settings, you may want to check your spam and trash folders as well as your inbox for email replies.
Book rental / return information?
If you rented a book using Uloop.com, you can retrieve your rental and return information at www.bookrenter.com. Bookrenter handles all of Uloop's book rental service.
How do I look at other schools’ Uloop pages?
If you would like to view other school Uloop pages besides your own school page, you can do so by logging out and going to www.uloop.com. You will be able to select the state and school you would like to view from the Uloop home page. There is also an area on the right side of most Uloop pages to "Browse other Colleges"
