New Signage on campus
The Genesis Class of 2015 were the first to see our new campus directional signage around campus during their Orientation this Fall! Freshmen and visitors will no longer have to wonder around as a 'newbie rite of passage', thanks to Dr. Jeffery Smith and the Office of Admissions.
Students say the signs are a useful tool, attractive and a welcome addition to the campus. The signs were installed by Midget Landscaping who is the landscaper for the school grounds. Dr. Jeffery Smith initiated the idea for campus signage and worked with the Office of Admission for it to become a reality. There are now seven maroon and white signs around campus!
Travis Fowles, Admission Counselor stated that "You'll always need guides and our new directional signs help guide students around campus and to class!".
Fowles also had a message to the student body at large. He said; "This is your moment, this is your time. Everything will not be easy, everything will not be laid out in front of you, but you have to search and seek for the signs to your destiny and Shaw University is here to help and assist you along your journey."
Travis Fowles serves as External Vice President of the Shaw University Student Government Association during his time as a student at Shaw.
